Long URLs that don't fit on one line in a email often aren't clickable after you e-mail them. They can also be tedious or next to impossable to type out on Web-enabled cellphones. Today, most people seem to use shorteners for Twitter, Identi.ca and IRC.

WDP.BZ shortens very long URLs like this:

Down to a shortened, compact URL like this:

    http://www.wdp.bz/2
